ADHD-DVD, Episode #38: Scarface (with J.D. Burke)

This week we say hello to the little friend as A DePalmber to ReMalmber begins with 1983's Scarface, directed by Brian DePalma, written by Oliver Stone, and starring Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham, Harris Yulin, Mark Margolis, and Richard Belzer. It's an opulent operatic journey to the American Dream, a slick and stylish directorial effort that truly proves subtlety is for cowards. It's an unseen from J Mo's collection that's been gathering dust for north of 17 years, and though a bout with COVID prevented him from joining us for the entire episode, Elite Prospects and EP Rinkside editor-in-chief J.D. Burke calls in and leaves a voicemail in defense of a hot couch classic, and one of his all-time faves.
